Welcome to Nabion, the website of the Prophets of Modern Israel.  Its mission is to proclaim the word of the LORD from his true prophets and teach of his beauty from the classic prophets (the TaNakh).

Nabion holds the prophecies of Jochanan ben Kathryn, the Nabion, and modern Psalms in scroll form on the website. Now we have also added the Similtudes of Enoch in Testamonia form. The Calling of Elijah is formally made on this site. A call is made to all Men & Brethren to return unto the LORD their God.

Nabion has no connection whatsoever with Evangelical bible prophecy. Nor does it have any association with any denomination or sect. It is a Jewish site devoted to the Reformation of Israel and its religious reawakening. To this end God has always raised up prophets. Yet for 2000 years we have had none. God swore by Amos that he would send a famine of his word. Although many Jews and Gentiles have claimed to be prophets for over a century, only recently has God raised up true prophets amongst Israel to proclaim his word properly: “Thus saith the LORD.”

We are compassed about today by so many preconceived ideas and by a popular hearsay whose foundation is nothing but air, stereotype and prejudice. Even many Jews do not know what a prophet really is. Articles such as What is a Prophet? will introduce you to both Classical and Modern Jewish prophecy; the “Canon” of Nabion and Legal Method will guide you in the limits of interpretation and, of course, FAQ will introduce the surfer to basic concepts and arguments.

Complex traditions and voluminous interpretations have become entrenched in Judaism. Though  a true prophet of God cannot start his own religion, it is nevertheless true that tradition and interpretation in 2000 years of prophetic silence has made Judaism unrecognizable from its Biblical precepts. By interpretation, extrapolation and justification one surviving sect of the destruction of 70 AD, the Pharisees, has made itself Judaism and declared its traditions the will and word of God. Judaism became a new religion. The preaching of the Messiah, which so dominated Judaism prior to 70 AD,  is often wholly unrecognizable by the Jewish mainstream and declared another religion. For the ancients the Scriptures were held up in more than name as the words of God; they were diligently searched. God declared to Moses that he would walk among us. Moses sang of the event in his Song of Departure and wrote of it in his book of Job. Isaiah declared the son born to us would be the “mighty God” and “Father of the Age to come.” There were many more Messianic Prophecies speaking along the same lines, including a timetable for these event. Nazarenes believed rightly that this is whom the Gentiles today call Jesus the Christ.

Folk concepts of the Messiah have been molded by ignorance. Some ancient Jews thought 2 types of redeemers were coming: a royal Messiah and a priestly one. Scripture did not allow this and the mainstream accepted only one, as still contained in the Amidah. Before the destruction of the Second Temple Period, Jewry anticipated a divine redeemer. The Scripture was clear, such as “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” Popular prophetic books, as the Book of Enoch, hit home the coming of the Son of Man, who was before all things were created and who went hand in hand with God.

By God’s good grace this void of understanding passes. Nabion contains hundreds of scriptures exhorting the Jew about the foundation of the Covenant and of the prophecies of old and new. Many articles exhort Jew and non Jew alike in the words of God, his nature, covenant and purpose, warn about error and place traditions into their historical perspective. Gentilizing of Jews must stop, and the Nazarene is not to become absorbed.

But Jews did not expect a triad or other Hellenized concepts that overwhelmed Christianity later. It is repulsion at this that has instigated the rabbinical arguments that remain today and the Jewish folk concepts of Christianity, not the content of Scripture and the Gospels. There is no denying that Gentile Christianity went down unusual and often times bizarre roads. Jews cannot be allowed to mistake this with anything that their ancient fathers expected of the coming of the Son of Man so long ago.  Catholicism wiped out the Nazarenes, and Gentile Christianity eventually became something wholly at odds with Judaism from which it emerged. We must accept this happened. Indeed, Moses had forewarned us that God would drive us to jealousy in the latter days “with them that are no nation, I will anger them with a nation void of understanding.”

Talmud

Talmudism has choked Judaism. Rabbinical Jews study only the studies of others and then equate it with the will of God. “Ultra-Orthodox” actually commit heretical sacrifices and rituals. “Study”— Talmudism— has been behind it all. “They say, but Scripture says” will place the arguments in order. Ancient sects loathed the Pharisaic practice of talmud, declaring it false. Through Isaiah God warned of the fate of those who use

scripture word by word. Instead of understanding that modern Judaism’s excessive gezeirahs and minhags aren’t Bible based, millions of Jews have departed into secularism, believing that like the Study (Talmud) everything was invented by man.

This is where evangelical bible prophecy is so dangerous. It is almost completely derived from the arena of popular myth and sectarian impression rather than scripture or direct revelation.

Nabion is for all to read. It contains many, many articles which can be accessed at a Site Map. One can’t call it sectarian. It rebukes  Christian Talmudism and Phariseeism equally. Many traditions both amongst Christians and Jews are reproved. It is, however, not an ecumenical site. Its first and foremost function is to proclaim the word of the LORD, the God of Israel, to his people rather than justify philosophies and sundry religions.

Messianic Jews have entered into mainstream Christianity by the score, not knowing they have become modern evangelical knockoffs by propounding “bible prophecy” from books that were not accepted as inspired even as late as the Reformation (16th century), and by not knowing the Apostolic instructions regarded only the Hebrew Testament as inspired scripture (and the Gospels). Now that Jews are being faced with the word of the LORD again. As the famine is ending and actual Jewish prophets are moved  to speak again in the name of the LORD for the salvation of Israel, Jews cannot be allowed to confuse this with anything remotely Evangelical or Catholic. Man and his interpretations have been glorified long enough, but a true prophet glorifies only God. And this is not based on tailoring prophecy to satisfy the desires of a time or crediting tradition as having divine sanction merely because it has been tradition.

God does not justify himself to mankind. One is to hearken unto the word of the LORD to do it, not to demand of “prophets” to deliver messages that justify or are pleasing to the tastes and desires of the times. There is no secret bible code. No one has an edge. There is no profit. The word of the LORD is for all. Judaica, true Judaica for the world, is not the selling of artifacts, religious paraphernalia and cook books. The gifts of Judaica are not from man; they are the words of the LORD.

The world is drunk on bible prophecy, turning it into nothing but modern interpretation, often applying non Jewish or non original meanings to bible prophecy in order to make it relevant for today or the near “future.” With the loss of the original context, millions of people are anticipating events which simply were not prophesied to happen. Non Jewish bible prophecy groups are also a bizarre world where the leader or interpreter is set on high, quite different than that required by the LORD. Much of so-called bible prophecy today is also “observing of times,” using current events and modern bias to interpret a bible prophecy that has no relevance for today in the way it is then proffered.

seferscroll

Nabion, however, contains the only words of modern Jewish prophecy spoken in the name of the LORD, as required by the word of the LORD to the prophets of old. No modern revelation is prophecy from the LORD if the person is not bold enough to proclaim it as such.  A prophet also sings psalms unto God. Links for these are offered  above (or at Modern Prophecy), without comment or interpretation. Other articles cover established bible prophecy (prophecies) from the point of view of their original meanings.  Peshers also exist on modern prophecy. All can be easily navigated by spinning the dreidl at the Site Map page.

Nabion.org has absolutely nothing to do with evangelical bible prophecy in any way. The LORD requires it of a prophet to speak in his name, and a true prophet clearly understands that he is moved to speak in the most holy name of the only God. A prophet does not deduce or synthesize to declare the word of the LORD.

Is Evangelical Bible Prophecy relevant for Jews and modern Israel?

It is the contention here that it is not for anybody, Jew or non Jew alike for the simple reason that modern bible prophecy is not prophecy at all and bears only a modest resemblance to actual biblical context. God declares for the benefit of all, of course, but a clear statement must be made here that God and his prophets were not 20th century evangelicals. In Deuteronomy 18 it is written that our fathers (the Hebrews) were entering into the land of Canaan and part of the sin of the Canaanites was: “For these nations, which thou shalt posses, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so.”

The same is true today. Judaism is clearly at the threshold of a corrupt Christianity, preparing to enter and reform it. It is laced with “observers of times” who market their opinions of modern events as though they were now biblical prophecy. They alone took the disputed and disregarded Book of Revelation out of the deutero-canonical status (no Reformer would accept it and the Council of Trent declared it to be reserved for deutero-canonical status). Those of weak faith need to see a bible prophecy indicated in every event that happens in Israel and the Middle East, and the “observers of times” have catered to them, finding the ambiguities of this former rejected book a fertile field. Instead of learning of God’s nature from true past prophecies in the Scriptures, these “observers of times” try and recycle them, proposing a “revived” Babylon in pathetic Iraq and a revived Roman Empire which, if we are to wait upon Italy, shall be long in the coming.
