Even Josephus recorded him as such. </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; John wrote nothing in the name of the L</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> for our study and guidance today. Very little is recorded in the synoptic gospels. Yet the Lord himself said no greater a prophet had arisen. Why? Because more than a prophet was John. He was all the prophets condensed to one. <SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">The fact is sublimely recorded: John turned the hearts of the sons to the fathers, that is, he turned the Hebrews back unto their own faith, back unto what all the prophets declared. John taught them to have a right heart and prepare. He distilled for them what was the sum total meaning of all the scriptures: repent, walk justly. The significance of this is connected to the only bit of actual prophetic knowledge that he was given: that the mighty one was soon to come,  whose shoelaces I am not fit to loosen. </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; The significance of a prophetic fulfillment is obviously nil if the people don t know anything about it. John preached to a poor, weary and very ignorant people the background of their own faith. The people, mostly illiterate, heard sermons only on the Sabbath, and it is then that they heard the scriptures read and preached. Much was observances. John came preaching the one to come, the redeemer mentioned in the very first benediction of the Amidah. An ignorant people were brought out of centuries of&nbsp; ignorance. The upshot was that they understood a Messiah was indeed proclaimed from the very days of Moses. They were also convicted of their heartless, ritual-only behavior. John rebuked them for their foolish reliance on their flesh. Merely because they were Abraham s descendants did not mean they would inherit God s favour.</SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; Not since that time have the Hebrews been as ignorant of their own background again. Jews have completely forgotten who they are. Article after article is published denigrating the very idea that Jews even really exist anymore. Some even say they categorically <A HREF="http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=1468785">aren t ancient Israel </A>and the Palestinians really have the only right to the land. There is nothing new in this. Think tanks of Russian Jews like <A HREF="http://www.friends-partners.org/partners/beyond-the-pale/english/38.html">Narodniki</A> thought the  Jewish Problem was best solved by assimilation. Cynical  erudite Jews in Europe insisted we really aren t a people but a religion. Therefore race hatred is pointless. Horrible pogroms still came in Russia and we know what the Holocaust was about. </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; Today, again, as tensions mount again  Jews reach for the same ignorance. Haredi even protested and burned flags of Israel, denouncing Zionism as evil. <IMG ID="Picture106" HEIGHT=176 WIDTH=257 SRC="../assets/images/burning.jpg" VSPACE=0 HSPACE=0 ALIGN="RIGHT" BORDER=0 ALT="burning" TITLE="burning">This shows the extent that some  Jews really believe they are only a religion and not a people with a land promised to them by God. Indeed, these acts basically deny the legitimacy of a temple. Amidst all this is it surprising that Jews don t know what a messiah is for anymore and what he is to redeem? Nor do they know that if one is still expected anymore what he is to be like, what he is to do and how he is to be revealed. </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; The famous Rabbi Schneerson is venerated by some Lubovitcher as the Messiah. Yet he admitted in letters he didn t know how to determine the question of who is a Jew (concerning Ethiopian Jews) and <IMG ID="Picture105" HEIGHT=168 WIDTH=140 SRC="../assets/images/Schneerson.jpg" VSPACE=0 HSPACE=0 ALIGN="LEFT" BORDER=0 ALT="Schneerson" TITLE="Schneerson">if it was all right for a Jew to leave Israel once in the land. That was comforting to Israeli ambassadors. Did not even Jeremiah go into Egypt? How many sages in the middle ages traveled to Israel and then around the world? This is a messiah? Praying to Schneerson isn t redemption. </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; Jews really don t know what they are. The actions of Haredi and other sects of Hasidism reflect complete Biblical divorce. When corrupt Tobias and his ilk were denied a hand in building the temple, they tried to thwart its construction. These Ultra-Orthodox don t even want a land where a temple can be built. Now that Israel fights for its existence, some Hasids try and hinder them. Ezra and Nehemiah would have cast them out of Israel.&nbsp; If Jews are only a religion, the  Ultra-Orthodox reveal the depth of religious ignorance as well. Because a garage was opened on the Sabbath in Israel, <A HREF="http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1091154.html">Haredi violently protested</A>. One cannot work on the Sabbath, but they can throw stones and wound 6 police officers? Israel struggles for survival. Hebrew blood is spilled to maintain the land, but many Hasids demand exemption from Army Service. The very people they consider geshmad, make life possible for them. Haredi will wound people in street battles but not in war? Who truly is more righteous? The black hat of ignorance is surely ignorance.&nbsp; </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; Is it a wonder that two opposite ends of the spectrum don t know how<IMG ID="Picture107" HEIGHT=200 WIDTH=250 SRC="../assets/images/Garediprotestors.jpg" VSPACE=0 HSPACE=0 ALIGN="RIGHT" BORDER=0 ALT="Garediprotestors" TITLE="Garediprotestors"> to define a Jew? Religion and secularism is divided by mere appearances. Citizens of Israel are merely  Israelis. A secular atheist is a Jew merely because of birth. Messianic Jews are kept out because they are  Christians and have no right to the land. Why are these Haredi fanatics and traitors still considered  Jews? Blood for some, religion for others. What the standard amounts to in the end is that Jewry is a massive club with its own inconsistent rules, and being Hebrew isn t a factor. </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; But now  Jews are saying that  Jews don t have rights to the land either. The club has problems. Elements of the  Ultra-correct compromise Israel by their actions, and thus the lives of many secular Hebrews. This should be incensing on the part of Hebrews in Israel. But what do we hear now? Some scholars deny that Hebrews even exist anymore. Schlomo Sand even said that the Palestinians are the actual Israelites.&nbsp; Haredi march with banners  Judaism forbids a Jewish state. What a strange world of ignorance . </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; It is not only strange, it is illegitimate. It is not the covenant or the Torah. It is that dreaded massive club. Take the Haredi, for instance. They are the outcropping of the Hasidic movement which began in the 18th century with a spiritual, polite, mystically inclined lime digger named Israel ben Eliezer, later known by the Hasids as Bal Shem Tov,  master of the good name. Hasidism amongst Jews was not unique. There were similar mystical movements amongst Gentiles, especially Germans, Greeks and Pols, for the former it was called Pietism (Hasidism basically means the same thing). These died out, but Hasidism went on, assimilating the stifling Rabbinic teachings in ritual, nitpicking observances and daily life, that it originally was a protest against. Today, Hasids prize themselves on being  true Jews. But they are in fact the spiritual descendants of what became a weird and now passé Polish mysticism similar to such Greek and Orthodox mysticism as that practiced by the madman Rasputin. This mysticism eventually overwhelmed the movement, earning the Hasids excommunication (which they gladly like to forget today). Indeed, the Gaon of Vilna, Elijah ben Solomon, excommunicated all the Hasids in 1772, citing pantheism and excessive devotion to the tsadikim the guru leaders called Rebbe or Grand Rabbi. </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; Ignorance has flowed from this strange Galician sect for centuries. These peasant Polish Jews (and Ukrainian/Galician Jews) had prophets and clairvoyants. One, Jacob Isaac of Lublin (died 1815), declared that the Napoleonic Wars were a prelude to Messianic redemption . . . but the clairvoyant failed. Supposedly, he even said the Messianic s advent could be hastened with magic.&nbsp; It never came, but the Hasids continued to follow their Rebbes. The major thing that eventually came was the Holocaust, which none foresaw and which wiped out millions of Jews, and many of them Hasidic. None of their prophets amounted to true prophets, none declared anything in the name of the L</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN>. It was all mystic self-deception. One Brislever Hasid has a website today in which he considers that Jesus healing acts were done by Kabbalistic magic. He forgets the words of Joseph or Daniel; that there is a God in heaven from which comes this power. It is not of men. </P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; Mainstream Judaism today is filled with just as many who are ignorant of the word of the L</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN>. Two thousand years of dystopia have built up strange ideas, evident even in Maimonides time when he penned what are the 13 basic points of being Jewish. One of them is believing that the  oral law was also given to Moses at Mount Sinai but merely not written down. ( <SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">All the commandments that were given to Moshe at Sinai were given together with their interpretation, as it is written  and I will give thee the Tables of Stone, and the Law, and the Commandment (<A HREF="pt/pt0224.htm">Exodus 24,12</A>).  Law is the Written Law; and  Commandment is its interpretation: We were commanded to fulfill the Law, according to the Commandment. And this Commandment is what is called the Oral Law. )</SPAN> &nbsp; How terrible that even Moshe ben Maimon was ignorant of the origins of the oral law. When the Dead Sea Scrolls were uncovered and examined in 1948 proof came that thousands of ancient Jews (the Essenes and the entire Sadduccean sect) derided the laws of the Pharisees, the founders of Rabbinic Judaism, declaring them to be  false and the Pharisees to be  extractors of false laws. It reduced one of Rambam s 13 points to merely a lie that he didn t know was a lie. Those who began it, for all their insistence on 613 laws to attain righteousness, broke the very simple law of thou shalt not add to the laws of God. </P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; Where are we today? Millions of Jews do not attend synagogue and ultimately identify themselves as being secular. Why should one wish to be a part of an establishment that is itself the byproduct of men tailoring and adjusting it? But to hear some tell it, they can t even claim they are Hebrews either. They are, strangely, removed from any notion of a covenant from which we cannot be annulled. But is that scriptural? </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; </SPAN>It is actually best now to go back and view the covenant. It is time to go back to the fathers. It is time to make the calling of Elijah to turn the hearts of the sons to the fathers.&nbsp; For there is indeed a covenant, and there is indeed punishment from turning from it. <SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">It cannot be adjusted by man. It has been ordained by the mouth of God. One may break it. God knows we have. But one cannot annul it. </SPAN></P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Let us begin the call of Elijah. Let those ready to carp take heed. This action is done in the name of the L</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> God of Israel. Not a rabbi s, a movement s, a Rebbe s or an interpretation. The words of the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> shall now be declared so that the hearts of the sons turn to the fathers and the fathers turn to the sons. </P> <P STYLE="text-align: left;">&nbsp;&nbsp; The living God spoke to Abram, our father, in visions. </P> <P>Genesis 17 </P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;"><I>&nbsp;&nbsp; </I><SPAN STYLE="color: rgb(0,51,153);">And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.</SPAN> </SPAN></P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; An interesting thing follows there is no covenant! That is to say, the covenant so far is God doing everything for Abram! He even says that  As for me. In other words,  my part of it is this. Then follows all his blessings to Abram. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; What s our part? Well, God already said  walk before me and be thou perfect. But he did ask for a token. Circumcision is then introduced. This is the covenant. Walk before God rightly. It is not obtained by any ritual. The sign of this is circumcision on the males only at the 8th day after birth, so that there is no doubt that it is hereditary and not gained by merit. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; Some of the blessings apply to all Abraham s children, including the Arabs. He would be a father of many nations and kings would come from him. Specific blessings would come through only one child, however, the son of Sarah, Isaac. She would have the son of promise. Yet again, the covenant would be narrowed down. Esau and Jacob were born of Isaac. But God favoured Jacob and said the elder (Esau) would serve the younger. All Edomites were sons of promise and were born to the covenant, but God set apart Jacob and declared his seed would stand first. The  elder will serve the younger. The blessings and custodianship of the covenant God would give to Jacob s descendants. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; Some may be offended by how basic I m being. That is not my intention. Rather I plan to highlight a few special points. One, God has kept his general promises. One, Canaan has always been inhabited by sons of Abraham, which includes Arabs. The Idumeans came into the fold an an entire nation by the time of the Second Temple period. Josephus notes they were considered Proselytes of Justice. The special promise was also kept: Both Edom and Jacob s seed were given the promise, but the younger takes precedence. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; Abraham was told to walk rightly before God even commenced telling him what he was going to do for him. God did indeed already look upon Abram with love. He walked perfectly with God because of faith, because he being a simple old man believed God that he would give him a son and that he would do all he said he would do. This is a little more than just faith. Abraham believed God would keep his word. Thus he believed God was <I>righteous</I>. It is knowing this that pleased God. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; It was not necessary, however, for Abraham to have the signs and customs. But Jacob s descendants were many. God brought us up out of bondage in Egypt. We were now a great nation. Now specific instructions were given to us that we might be a great civilization, lawful and wise and beacons unto the world. This is no new covenant. These are laws and duties, symbols and signs great instructions and examples of God s care and righteousness. Custodians indeed. The very purpose was to show the nations God was close with us and that these were good ways and just.</P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; Moses made clear the purpose of the law at Horeb. Dev. 4 <SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0,51,102);">Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> God of your fathers giveth you. Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons sons; Specially the day that thou stoodest before the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> thy God in Horeb, when the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children. </SPAN></P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; The purpose was for the land, to maintain a healthy, peaceful nation. The Torah was not the pathway to the resurrection. Faith as in faithful Abraham s is independent of the Torah. Walking rightly from a right heart was before even circumcision. I m not one for propounding the Missionary from Tarsus, that is clear. But Paul was trying to make this clear to his congregations. Faith that God exists has its limits. It is but the seed. But believing that God is righteous and that he will do all his words is righteousness to Him. Why? Because this kind of faith comes from honor and love. And <I>that</I> is pleasing to God. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Our sojourn in the wilderness was to ingrain this on us. At Horeb we beheld the glory and might of God. The kind of basic faith that God exists is of little use in such a circumstance. Obviously, we need none in the presence of God. But faith that he is righteous and honorable is crucial. This kind of faith goes hand-in-hand with love. In eternity and the new Earth we can never be without love for God. Basic faith that he exists will end. But love never can. The desert was not only a sojourn, it was an education of how we must have this type of faith and this much love. For in the desert we knew God lived. He led us! By pillar of smoke and fire, he led us! </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; But time and time again, we angered God. Each time it revealed our lack of faith and love. Did you notice in the Torah that God s punishments get more severe the longer we sojourned? In the beginning for making an idol we were plagued. But as time went by, we knew better. When we gorged ourselves on quail, it showed no faith God would bring more. Many died while the flesh was in their mouth. The lack of faith was not in God but in his righteousness. We didn t believe his word, that was the problem. Later, we griped:  We loathe this bread!  death and plague from fiery serpents. No love. No faith. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; What covenant was involved? None! The sign of the covenant was already given circumcision and it wasn t even practiced in the wilderness sojourn. We weren t set apart for appearances but for substance. The law is not even the covenant. It is for peace and safety in the land. As Abraham we are to walk rightly and have deep love for and faith in God. The Torah cannot enforce or even see your love and faith. But this is what Abram was told to do: <SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0,51,153);">walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee,</SPAN></P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; And that brings us to the call of Elijah again. Moses told us to above all  keep to thy souls  exactly what God told Abram. Moses then told them more. He told them to remember the day he spoke to us by voice from Horeb. Why? What did we say?  Do not speak to us. God told Moses we spoke rightly. He told Moses the day would come when a  prophet would be born amongst us like Moses was and he would speak directly for God. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; A strange world of teaching has arisen since the Second Temple was destroyed denying all this.&nbsp; Now the majority has broken off from Jewry to take up nothing. Others dwell in nitpicking gezeirah, righteousness attained or proven by keeping 613 laws. It is inheritance of the resurrection by legal perfection and outward appearance. Yet Moses said none of this. Abraham and Moses were faithful and loved God. The purpose of the signs and laws were for instruction. They were not an end in themselves. They do not create a right heart nor do they ensure it. Moses told you to look forward to the one to come, and to believe and hearken unto him. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; The Covenant. It seems so easy. There is but a simple token. But  walk rightly and be thou perfect is so hard. It is harder than the Torah because it requires the state of Abram s heart before you even begin the Torah. We learned in the wilderness sojourn it wasn t a heartless keeping of rules. For lack of faith and love we were smitten. From this sinful nature we need redemption. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; Because we were to lead the world to God, so much was required of Jacob s seed. We were set apart to survive and show the world the truth. Each generation was to hand it down to the next. For pagans, there was no compromise. <SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;"><SPAN STYLE="color: rgb(0,51,102);">Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.</SPAN> </SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; Again: <SPAN STYLE="color: rgb(0,51,102);">Only the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.</SPAN> </SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; The sojourn taught us much. It taught us what type of faith to have and to what extent we were to love God above all things. We are not a wandering religion. We are a people, the Hebrews. Our duties are laid before us. So important are the nations in the eyes of God that we were set aside to hold a bright candle. That makes the Gentiles the supreme object of God s desires. He would that all men be redeemed! (See <A HREF="../html/torah_vs__god.html">Torah verses God</A>) One just can t cease to be Jewish because they don t have the right sequence of doctrines and theories or because they don t do the signs and the customs perfectly. The covenant is with the Hebrews. Its ultimate requirement is love and faith. And its ultimate purpose is the turning of the Nations! </SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Thus we understand God s warning about apostasy. Dev 28:63-</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="color: rgb(0,51,153);"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">And it shall come to pass that as the L</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;"> rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so the L</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;"> will rejoice over you to destroy you; and ye shall be quickly removed from the land, into which ye go to inherit it. And the L</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;"> thy God shall scatter thee among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other; and thou shalt there serve other gods, wood and stone, which thou hast not known, nor thy fathers. Moreover among those nations he will not give thee quiet, neither by any means shall the sole of thy foot have rest; and the L</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;"> shall give thee there another and a misgiving heart, and failing eyes, and a wasting soul. And thy life shall<IMG ID="Picture111" HEIGHT=300 WIDTH=400 SRC="../assets/images/zionism.jpg" VSPACE=0 HSPACE=0 ALIGN="RIGHT" BORDER=0 ALT="zionism" TITLE="zionism"> be in suspense before thine eyes; and thou shalt be afraid by day and by night, and thou shalt have no assurance of thy life&  </SPAN></SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; This is not the fate of a religion but of a people who turned their <I>heart</I> from God.It is not over 613 rules. The Feast of Tabernacles wasn t kept since Joshua s time until Ezra. A thousand years of imperfection, and yet Israel bloomed and David s heart was after God s own heart. Persecution is not for righteousness sake or for some mistakes. Holocausts and pogroms have come and will still come because of our hearts. We have a purpose that we ve flubbed. And now it s getting worse. We ve not only extinguished our light, we are growing corrupt. Even though God restored us to Israel, many of us now deny even this as a blessing of God. We have denied the Messiah. We don t even know what is a Jew.&nbsp; We were to await the Anointed. We were to proclaim him to the world! For 1,500 years God revealed to us just who was to come amongst us. </SPAN>We don t acknowledge the scripture anymore, and even Messianic Judaism has distorted him to a merely a Maran or Yeshua. <SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">But the scripture says what he is to be like. He does not change with each generation s perception or expectation. The prophets spoke of him. </SPAN>(See <A HREF="../html/messianic_prophecies.html">Messianic Prophecies</A>).<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">We have flubbed our calling indeed!</SPAN></P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Destruction is in the wind again. Two thousand years of diaspora are distilling to a terrible moment if we do not hear the call of Elijah. For the genuine article Messianic Jews it is time to stop preaching Jewishness, custom, tradition, and all such other things of culture and appearance. Make clean the inside of the cup first. Preach the substance. Messiah was to redeem us not from the law but from our own sins of the soul and our lack of faith. He was to show us and the <I>world</I> the clear nature of God. He was to cleanse our hearts. The covenant was made for this purpose and it was to culminate in this point. For this we were ultimately set apart. </P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; The blessings of the Torah are limited to this world.( <SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;"><SPAN STYLE="color: rgb(0,51,102);">Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them. Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. And the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.</SPAN> ) But he blessing of Love and Faith is eternal life. </SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp; And Love and Faith require you believe God is righteous and that he will keep his word. He told us to await  he w</SPAN>ho is from everlasting, who was to be born in Bethlehem.&nbsp; He who came before me I am not worthy to loosen the shoelaces thereon, and he who cometh after me shall melt the universe at his appearance. The real Jesus is plainly laid out in Scripture. The  Mighty God has come. All Jews must understand and regard him appropriately.&nbsp; <SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt;">Zechariah: <SPAN STYLE="color: rgb(0,51,153);">Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN>. And many nations shall be joined to the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> of hosts hath sent me unto thee. And the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again. Be silent, O all flesh, before the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN>: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation. <SPAN STYLE="color: rgb(0,0,0);">Malachi: </SPAN>Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> of hosts.<SPAN STYLE="color: rgb(0,0,0);"></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Turn your heart unto the fathers, lest he come and smite the earth with a curse. Search the scriptures and see for yourselves. Recall all this that he has said. Keep to your souls and remember his acts and believe his words: &nbsp; </P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0,51,153);">For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. nd ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the L<SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt;">ORD</SPAN> of hosts. Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
